QVC - Nails Inc Be GELous Collection

QVC Collection - Nails Inc Be GELous Collection - £29.88

Are you as shocked as I am to see not one, not two, not three, not even four, but five nail polishes in one post from me? Because I sure am! And trust me, this was a total impulse purchase. After all I don't need anymore nail polish in my life at the moment.

I happened to come across this collection of nail polishes when I was watching QVC the other day. I watch it every now and again (especially when the Yankee Candle shows are on haha) but when a Nails Inc hour came on I was watching it and fell in love with these colours and as i'm already a fan of Nails Inc nail polishes, and I love the wide brushes that Nails Inc polishes have, I decided to make my first ever QVC purchase and get them.

The five colours of the Nails Inc Gel Effect colours avaliable in this collection are as follows.

 Soho Place - Aqua colour

This comes out a lot darker than it appears in the bottle I think, and the swatch is one coat on the nail wheel, which is pictured at the end of this post. I wish it appeared as a lighter colour, but oh well it's still very pretty. Turquoise is my favourite colour so i'm still pleased to have this in my nail polish collection.

Downtown - A bright hot pink

One of my favourites from this collection. Such a great bright pink, easily opaque in one coat, and it will look great on my toes in the summer. I surprisingly don't own a bright pink nail polish in my collection (I hear you gasping in surprise) but this one fills that void perfectly.

 Regents Place - Powder Blue

A colour that is not even avaliable on the high street yet, i'm lead to believe. A lovely pale lavender blue colour and the swatch on the nail wheel is only one coat, it would need two coats to get an opaque even colour. I adore this colour in the bottle, but i'm not so keen on the colour on my nails with my skintone for some reason, I just don't think it looks right on me. But i'm determined to try and make it work as I just really love the colour.

 Kensington Passage - Coral Red

This was the colour I was least excited by when I ordered these, as I have a few colours similar to this. However, in the flesh it is gorgeous! And i've worn this on my toes ever since i've got it. Again this is opaque in one coat. Perfect for the summer, and it is coming out a lot more orange in the picture than it is in real life. It has a tad more of a red hint to it in reality.

 Mayfair Lane - Pastel Pink

The colour I was most excited by! It's one of Nails Inc's best sellers at the moment and I can see why. It's a lovely very pale pink colour, opaque in two coats and it looks so lovely on the nails. I think it will look even better when I have a tan, but i've worn this the most out of all the colours. Even my sister has repainted her nails with it two or three times!

From Left to Right -
(Soho Place, Downtown, Regents Place, Kensington Passage, Mayfair Lane)

Nails Inc Gel Effect polishes are beyond perfect! The effect really is like a gel, they are a bit thicker than general nail polishes, therefore they are good if you have any ridges etc in your nails, it will blanket over everything to give a lovely smooth, polished look.

After one coat I noticed how incredibly shiny my nails were! I've never had a gel effect manicure before, and with the effect these give, I don't plan and going out and getting one either. I only put a top coat over these to make them last longer, but if it weren't for that i'd happily go without. I wore Mayfair Lane on my nails for 10 days and it didn't chip at all, which was incredible! But then another time, it's chipped within a couple of days, it's just luck I suppose.

If you like the look of these five colours then you can still buy them as a set on QVC for the price of £29.88 & £3.95 p&p, this is currently the introductory price though so act fast if you want them. The collection really is a real bargain though in all seriousness, considering if you were to buy these polishes individually they would be £14.00! So you can almost buy two and get three free! Such amazing value. Also if there are a few colours, or just one, that you aren't that keen on, you could give them to a family member or friend as a present.

November 2013 Favourites

This is the post i've been most looking forward to writing since I started this blog, monthly favourites videos and posts are one of my favourites to watch and read, and i've always wanted to do my own monthly favourites, and now I can!

Well November came and went at a ridiculously fast speed, normally I complain that time is going so quickly but not this month, because December gets here quicker and that means so does Christmas! Which is my favourite time of year!

Anyway onto my favourites.

Tartan Scarf - Primark - £5.00
I did a blog post on this recently (Here) and I am just in LOVE with this scarf.
Honestly, it is probably now my favourite scarf that I own. It's so soft and cosy and I got it on the weekend before Bonfire Night so I have used it for the entire month and I can't get enough of it. I'm not sure if these are still avaliable in Primark, but if you can and you want it, then snap it up now as they are selling like hot cakes.

Nails Inc nail polish - Chelsea Square - £9.68
I have also done a blog post on this (Here).
Vast becoming one of my favourite nail polishes ever, I just love the pinky gold colour of this nail varnish and I have either worn this or no nail polish at all this month. I will continue to wear this into December too, I currently have it on my nails as I write this. :)

Maybelline Colour Sensational Cream Gloss - '360 Stellar Berry' - £6.19
I'm not a massive lipgloss lover, I much prefer lipstick, however due to the beautiful formula of this lipgloss and the colour I just love it for this time of year. It's a stunning plum shade and the gloss is so creamy and isn't at all sticky and because it's quite a dark colour it leaves a bit of a stain too.
I just love it.

Big Baby Gingerbread Ring
I love gingerbread themed items and I have a necklace that matches this, but I have been wearing the ring an awful lot this month. It's very cute and just fits in so well for this time of year.

Illamasqua Gleam Highlighter - 'Aurora' - £18.00
I have been eyeing up this highlighter for a while and back in September (when it was my birthday) Illamasqua do that special birthday treat code thing where you get money off for your birthday, so I treated myself to this and I just love it. I have quite a few highlighters now but it's the only cream one I have and I love it.

Random Favourite - TV Show - I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
My favourite TV show this month, and every single November, is always I'm a Celeb. It's a very good reality show where they put 12 celebrities into the Australian jungle and they have to do bushtucker trials and all sorts, i'm sure you've all heard of it. And it's presented by the amazingly brilliant Ant and Dec, who I just love! So that's on every single day for 3 weeks (2 days they didn't do it due to the football) in November. Just a brilliant show!

Posts on the Illamasqua Highlighter, Gingerbread Ring and the Maybelline Gloss will be coming up this week.

Nails Inc Chelsea Square

Nails Inc Chelsea Square - £11.00

I'm not the biggest nail varnish addict, unlike my sister who has a whole rack full of them! For one I don't normally have the patience to sit there and paint my nails and keep putting a few coats on and waiting for them to dry. Also the fact that I am a nail biter so it would be a waste of time putting nail varnish on in the first place.

However, there are some exceptions to this and this Nails Inc nail polish is it.

I was watching QVC and I saw this particular colour come up in a set of other colours, as soon as I saw it I immediately wanted it. And not wanting to pay over £20 for the set of three nail polishes, I just wanted this colour and so went on the hunt for it online.

Nails Inc do charge £11.00 each for their nail varnishes, which I think is a tad steep (then again I won't even fork out £7.99 for an Essie one) like I said I won't pay that much for something I won't use that often. But this one I was tempted to pay the full £11.00 because I loved it so much.

It's a beautiful pink, almost rose gold looking, glitter nail polish. I applied it over a base colour on my first application and it was opaque in one coat. It looks absolutely stunning and has firmly become one of my favourite ever nail polishes. I also love the packaging of the Nails Inc nail polishes, and the fact that they name all their polishes after areas of London just makes me love them even more.
My boyfriend treated me to a weekend in London recently for my birthday back in September so thinking of the London names made me think back to our trip.

I would actually buy Nails Inc polishes again, purely for the fact that this one lasted 7 days without chipping (it may have lasted longer but I decided to change the colour by this point). But glitter nail polishes always last longer than a normal colour nail polish anyway we must note.

Luckily, I found this polish for £8.91 a few weeks ago, which is still pricey for a nail polish but cheaper than the overall £11.00. However, when I went to look for this same product again on beautybay.com it was not that price anymore, but was still cheaper than £11.00 at £9.35

This is clearly a popular colour as there is only a few remaining at that price, so grab them now while you can. Or you could always ask for this for Christmas. Nails Inc are also avaliable in shops like Boots, House of Fraser and Debenhams, but will be at the full £11.00 more than likely.

I love this nail polish, and I can tell I will be wearing this a lot.
