China Glaze Nail Polish - 'Glitter All the Way'

 

A play on the words 'Jingle all the way' from the Jingle Bells song, this China Glaze nail polish is more festive than you sitting in front of a log fire, eating mince pies whilst watching Elf on the television. It's beyond perfect!

 

China Glaze are very big in the nail polish world, and they are always bringing new collections out year in year out, and at Christmas it is no different.

 

I got this very nail polish for Christmas a couple of years ago from one of my best friends. I fell in love with it as soon as I unwrapped it on Christmas Day. Its a beautiful glitter nail polish, containing green, red, gold and purple glitter particles. Which look great together and are indeed very festive. The glitter is fine so no chunky glitter to worry about here.

 

 

 

It was very easy to apply and I managed to get this effect with just one coat, which is what I like to see in glitter nail polishes, well in all nail polishes if i'm honest. I hate having to put loads of coats on.

 

I have very short nails, as you can see, and it would look a heck of a lot better on longer nails but this is what I have to work with. And I refuse to not have glittery nails on over Christmas, it really makes me feel more Christmassy when I have glittery nails, I have no idea why.

  

 

This glitter is just perfect for Christmas time, whether you're going to a work Christmas party or just any Christmas party it would compliment any outfit. Or if you're not going to any Christmas parties and just want your nails to look a bit more festive, then this would be my number one pick. I will be wearing it over Christmas itself, without a doubt.

 

 

 

I really am impressed with this nail polish, I love the colours and it was easy to apply and I would purchase more from China Glaze. The only bugbear I have is that China Glaze is pretty expensive, but you can pick them up on discount websites and in some discount salon places.

 

 

China Glaze 'Glitter All the Way' was a limited edition nail polish at Christmas and is no longer avaliable, but you may be able to track it down on eBay or discount online shops or maybe in some shops if you're lucky. But I have been unable to track it down when writing this post.

I'm not the biggest nail varnish addict, unlike my sister who has a whole rack full of them! For one I don't normally have the patience to sit there and paint my nails and keep putting a few coats on and waiting for them to dry. Also the fact that I am a nail biter so it would be a waste of time putting nail varnish on in the first place.

 

However, there are some exceptions to this and this Nails Inc nail polish is it.

 

I was watching QVC and I saw this particular colour come up in a set of other colours, as soon as I saw it I immediately wanted it. And not wanting to pay over £20 for the set of three nail polishes, I just wanted this colour and so went on the hunt for it online.

 

Nails Inc do charge £11.00 each for their nail varnishes, which I think is a tad steep (then again I won't even fork out £7.99 for an Essie one) like I said I won't pay that much for something I won't use that often. But this one I was tempted to pay the full £11.00 because I loved it so much.

 

It's a beautiful pink, almost rose gold looking, glitter nail polish. I applied it over a base colour on my first application and it was opaque in one coat. It looks absolutely stunning and has firmly become one of my favourite ever nail polishes. I also love the packaging of the Nails Inc nail polishes, and the fact that they name all their polishes after areas of London just makes me love them even more.

My boyfriend treated me to a weekend in London recently for my birthday back in September so thinking of the London names made me think back to our trip.

 

I would actually buy Nails Inc polishes again, purely for the fact that this one lasted 7 days without chipping (it may have lasted longer but I decided to change the colour by this point). But glitter nail polishes always last longer than a normal colour nail polish anyway we must note.

 

Luckily, I found this polish for £8.91 a few weeks ago, which is still pricey for a nail polish but cheaper than the overall £11.00. However, when I went to look for this same product again on beautybay.com it was not that price anymore, but was still cheaper than £11.00 at £9.35

This is clearly a popular colour as there is only a few remaining at that price, so grab them now while you can. Or you could always ask for this for Christmas. Nails Inc are also avaliable in shops like Boots, House of Fraser and Debenhams, but will be at the full £11.00 more than likely.

 

I love this nail polish, and I can tell I will be wearing this a lot.

Bonfire Night Nails

 

Barry M Amethyst Glitter Nail Paint - £2.99

 

Definitely one of my favourite nail polishes in my collection!

This beautiful glitter consisting of blue, silver, black, purple and pink glitter would work well with any party outfit.

 

I chose to wear this tonight, on Bonfire Night, as the polish perfectly sums up the dark night sky, with the dark blue but with the different glitter sparkles of colour coming through too. You can layer this over other colours (i'd suggest a black or a dark blue) or you could just do it over a good base coat like I have done here.

 

It's stunning to look at, and I get many compliments when i'm wearing it.

 

With a good base and top coat, this polish has so far lasted 5 days on my nails, with no sign of any chipping. This is just one coat aswell, I have found it is easy to achieve an opaque finish with one coat of any of Barry M glitter nail paints.

The only downside is that, like most glitter nail polishes, it is a bit of a hastle to remove, nevertheless it is totally worth it in my opinion.

For the bargain price of £2.99 you really can't go wrong.

Barry M are always having deals on their nail paints, normally on 3 for 2 in Boots or Superdrug, i'd definitely consider adding this to your collection, if you haven't already.
