Sleek Rose Gold Blush

Sleek Makeup Blush - Rose Gold - £4.49

I think it's fair to say, and potentially a rather bold statement to make, but this has got to be one of the most talked about drugstore/high street blushes in the UK market right now. Yep, i've said it and i'm proud to. The evidence is there, you always hear bloggers and youtubers stating that it has taken them forever to track this blush down in their local Superdrug stores. It really is a nightmare to get hold of it seems due to it's popularity.

Luckily I managed to find mine on the second time of looking for it almost two years ago now. I vividely remember finding it days before I went on holiday during the summer of 2012, and I then took this blush with me and wore no other one for the entire 10 days I was away. I was addicted to it. And to this day I still am.

If you don't know what i'm talking about, and don't understand the fuss around this blush,  then let me bring you up to speed. This is a coral pink blush with gold shimmer, and don't worry there is no hint of glitter in sight. This is supposedly a dupe for the infamous cult favourite Nars Orgasm, and I must say I have recently purchased that blush and I have to admit they are incredibly similar.

This blush is extremely good quality for the price, as expected as Sleek blushes are well loved by all for their quality and pigmentation. You get 8g of product for the very good price of £4.49, which is a brilliant deal in my opinion, and the colour pay off is just brilliant. The packaging is very small and handy for travelling, and it has a mirror too which is always appreciated.

As you can see I have worn this blush quite a bit and the swatch is more true to colour of the actual blush itself, I don't know why the camera makes it look more orange that it is.

Also just to note, Sleek have slightly changed the logo of Sleek on the front of this blush, it is now smaller, but apart from that everything looks the same now. Feel free to let me know otherwise. It is my favourite blush from the highstreet/drugstore without question, I wish I could critise this blush in some way but I just can't.

If you can track down this blush yourself, and you don't want to fork out for Nars Orgasm, then this is a perfect alternative.

Sleek Blush by 3 - Sweet Cheeks - Candy Collection

I think it's fair to say the Sleek Blush by 3 Palettes are one of Sleeks most popular products. Their blushes in general have got to be their best sellers, i'm so convinced about that, but these are just as good if not even better as you get three blushes in one little compact!
Just genius.

I've already blogged about their Blush by 3 palette in the colour 'Sugar' but this is another one that I have called Sweet Cheeks that came out in the Candy Collection back in the Spring of 2013, I think. But it is still avaliable on the Sleek website, so no worries there girls!

I have to admit this is a slightly neglected palette in my make-up collection, in fact most palettes I find get neglected somewhat, I suppose I just grab the little single blushes first, but I have made more of an effort to use them more, and in particular this palette in the last few weeks. And i've been loving the sort of lilac colour in the middle the most.

Some people aren't happy with the fact that Sleek have put a cream blusher in with powder ones, as the powder could get into the cream. I have not had any issue with the cream and powder products mixing up, and i'm not all that bothered really as it seems to work perfectly fine in the format that it's in.

Not only do I love the names of these blushes (which you'll see in a second) but the actual box that this blush palette comes in is so pretty that i've actually kept this blush palette still in the box, which is not something I often, if ever, do. Although the box is slightly covered with my foundation marks, sorry about that.

It's a given to say that these blushes are very well pigmented, just the quality is incredible for a highstreet/drugstore blush. Hence why everyone loves them so much.

This Sweet Cheeks palette contains three different shades of pink.

The darker hot pink colour called Cupcake is a cream to powder formula blush. It is the first cream blush that Sleek have ever done and it comes in this palette. I'm normally not a fan of cream to powder formula blushes but this one seems to last a very long time, unlike most cream or cream to powder blushes that i've tried.

The middle shade is called Dollymix and is a matte lilac pink sort of colour, I really love this one as it's the only shade like it that I have in my entire blush collection.

Third and finally is the coral pink colour called Candy Floss which is just beautiful for spring and summer time, this one has a bit of shimmer in it but not too noticeable.

If you fancy picking up this Blush by 3 Palette i'd suggest you do so soon, i'm not sure if this has now been put in the permanent line but it is still avaliable to buy on the Sleek website, so just in case they do eventually stop selling it online, i'd get in there quickly now.

Avaliable for £9.99

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette - Sugar

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette - Sugar - £9.99

Does anyone else remember when these Sleek Blush by 3 Palettes were first released, and everyone went crazy for them? I do. Everyone went especially mad for one of the palettes in the colour 'Lace'. It took me many months to track down that palette, and they didn't even stock it in my big local Superdrug, so I eventually ordered it online.
(By the way I will be doing a review of the Lace palette in the future).

When ordering the palette online, they had a discount code offer so I used that and also I took a big fancy to this other colour that hasn't been raved about quite as much, but I still think is pretty and so I got that too, and that very palette is the topic of this post.

It's the Blush by 3 Palette in the colour 'Sugar'.
This palette features much more darker blush colours, in my opinion it is the perfect autumn and winter blush palette. I challenge anybody to find a better blush palette for this time of year, it's just beautiful!

The colours remind me a lot of crisp autumn leaves, and i've worn it a lot these past couple of months already.

Now you may be looking at the palette now and thinking, whoa those are dark colours! And I completely get where you're coming from because that was my first impression of them too. These are incredibly pigmented blushes! As any beauty fan would know about Sleek blushers they are amongst the very best on the high street/drugstore when it comes to pigmentation and quality, so they do swatch very strongely (see swatches below) but when applied with a light hand they look stunning! I have very pale skin and i'm normally pretty heavy handed when it comes to blush, and I manage to apply these with great ease.

Sleek have named the three blushes after, that's right you've guessed it, different types of sugar! Oh Sleek you are clever bunnies :)

Turbinado is the matte peachy brownish sort of colour.
Muscovado is the shimmery dark brown, berry colour.
Demerara is the satin berry red colour.

I must be honest and say I don't wear Muscovado all that much, I don't know why because it's a beautiful shimmery colour. I just gravitate towards the other two colours more.

For the price of £9.99 you get amazing value for money, not only do you get three amazingly great pigmentated blush shades, but they come in a very handy compact palette which includes a full size mirror!
10 out of 10 Sleek!

Sleek really are my favourite highstreet/drugstore brand and I will continue to go back to them for their blushes in particular, time and time again.

This 'Sugar' Blush by 3 Palette is
avaliable from:

 Superdrug - £9.99

Sleek Website - £9.99
