Nars Cactus Flower Blush

Nars Cactus Flower Blush - £21.50

This blush is one that I don't very often hear about in the blogging and youtuber world, and if you first see this blush in the pan you would understand why some people might go to a Nars counter, look at this blush and think 'Oh that's way too bright for me!' and walk off. If i'm honest I would have done just that if I had seen this in person myself.

Always one for risk taking, and having seen it featured in a few videos and saw some on some blogs I went ahead and bought this after wanting it for over a year. The reason for me finally purchasing it was because I heard a somewhere that this blush had been discontinued by Nars. Every time I went to their counter near me it was never there, not even an empty space where it should have been if it were sold out. It was never in stock on ASOS and so I just gave up on wanting this and forgot about it. That was until ASOS had a 24hour flash sale the other week and I was browsing Nars and checked their cream blushes and low and behold Cactus Flower was in stock! I needed no persuasion in instantly getting it, and with a very good discount and free delivery, I was over the moon.

Cactus Flower is described as a poppy pink, which is a spot on colour description in my opinion. It looks very red in colour but with a pink tinge and gold shimmer and very minute gold glitter, which does not transfer onto the cheeks from what i've seen. It is a cream to powder formula, which isn't my favourite really but I will forgive it as the colour is just too gorgeous.

It's not too strongly pigmented which is good for a colour this bright. I applied it lightly onto my cheeks with my fingers, but also the Real Techniques Stippling Brush would be a great tool to apply this with, also. It gives the perfect 'just come out of playing in the snow' flush to your cheeks, and it doesn't make you look ridiculously red like sunburn or clown cheeks, which is never a good look.

Granted the £21.50 price tag is very expensive for a blush, but Nars blushes are fantastic quality and I just love them and they are a real treat purchase. I don't know what other Nars blushes take my fancy at the moment, but i'm very happy with the ones I already own.

Nars Luster Blush

Nars Luster Blush - £21.50

If you had said to me a year ago that I would own a Nars Blush I would have just laughed at you and said you were nuts! To charge £21.50 for a makeup product is insane, and also the fact we still pay that much for one is a bit ridiculous. Nevertheless people do it, and I now have to include myself in that, I can't believe i'm saying it but I totally understand why.

I remember watching essiebutton's video on her Nars Blush collection, and just gawking at the beautiful blushes. The colours are just amazing and unlike others i've seen from almost any other brand. The packaging is great, the sleek black rubbery type texture is really nice, even if it gets dirty incredibly easily I still love it. It comes with a mirror too which is always a plus point, but the main selling point is the product itself of course.

As you can see i've definitely been using this blush. It has very good pigmentation, i'd say not as intense as the Sleek Blushes, but still good nonetheless. Also it picks up a heck of lot more product if you use a densely packaged brush, for example I like to use Nars Blushes with the Real Techniques Expert Face brush. So it might be worth giving that a try.

This colour is a favourite of Estee's and I can see why, the 'sheer golden apricot' colour blush is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a apricot/orange-ish colour blush with a gold shimmer. Not glitter at all just shimmer which is what I like in blushes.

It's kind of almost bronzey in colour on the cheeks, it's bizarre! But it looks absolutely stunning! I find especially paired with a red lipstick it's just the perfect look for me.

This is the first Nars blush that I ever got and i've already picked up a couple more, I still have a couple on my wishlist but i'm in no hurry at all to buy anymore in the near future.

If you don't want to pay £21.50 for one of the blushes then keep an eye on ASOS.com where they often do 10% off their beauty items, which include Nars, so you can pick them up then. Or if you can wait until Christmas time ASOS did a 20% and then a few weeks later did a 25% off code on everything on their site so you could be paying about £17.00 for one of their blushes which is great. Still very expensive for blushes, but if you want one i'd hold out till around Christmas time.

These blushes do really live up to the hype, I just really wish they were cheaper.

Avaliable at ASOS for £21.50

ASOS 20% off EVERYTHING for TODAY ONLY!

I wanted to make a quick post about this offer that I just got sent in an email
sent by ASOS.

Offering 20% off EVERYTHING, that's right it says everything.

So if you've been eyeing up something on ASOS for a while, this is a great opportunity to grab it now as this offer is for TODAY ONLY.

I've already taken advantage of it and ordered myself two Nars Blushes.
Expensive, I know and I probably shouldn't have done it, but it's almost Christmas (that's my excuse for everything these days) and also when am I ever going to get the chance to have 20% off Nars products in the near future?
10% yes but never 20%.

So run over to ASOS now girls and boys, run, run!
