March 2014 Favourites

Here are my favourites for March 2014!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer

This is actually a new tube of this, I bought it last weekend and it's actually the first and only concealer i've gone out and re-purchased. It's my favourite one for under the eyes, a real staple in my makeup routine.

LUSH Santa's Lip Scrub - (review)
Yes I know this is a repeat from my February favourites, but I am still really loving this lip scrub, and when I was trying to think of what products I was loving I still kept thinking of this one.

Mac Blazing Haute Blush - (review)

I've got a review on this blush coming up next week for you guys, but it was a limited edition blush back from last year and i've really enjoyed the peachy cheek look this month.

Aveeno Cream - (review)

Another staple for me, I use this on my neck eczema and have been using it religiously in March. Just amazing! I've done a full in depth review on this cream if you have eczema and want to know how it's helped me.

Batiste Light and Blonde Dry Shampoo - (review)

My favourite dry shampoo and i've actually got 5 cans of this stuff stocked up in a drawer, as I always buy two when they are on offer in Superdrug, Boots etc. I have been using it a lot this month as i've needed my hair to look presentable every day for work, so if my hair needs that extra help then i've relied on this. If you have blonde hair this is a must have!

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer - (review)

I have been using this primer underneath my makeup everyday for work and it's helped my makeup stay on longer. I've really enjoyed using it and will definitely be buying another one when it runs out.

Random Favourites!

My favourite TV discovery of the month has been Gogglebox. Made by Channel 4, it is basically lots of different groups of people like families, couples, friends etc watching TV and commenting on it. It's so funny but can also make you well up at the same time. It's become hugely popular and if you haven't checked it out yet, then track it down on 4OD.

February 2014 Favourites!

These are my February 2014 Favourites!

Yankee Candle Honey and Spice Large Jar
I didn't intentionally use this candle this month in the hope of using it up, but I burnt it so much that I did end up finishing the rest of the large jar. I bought this in the Winter of 2012 and I hardly burnt it at all last year but I dug it out of my selection of candles and I burnt what was left of it all throughout February and now it's done and I just love the scent, very much honey and sugar and a bit of spice but a touch of chocolate aswell. Amazing!

Topshop Head Over Heels Blush

I don't even know what made me start reaching for this blush this month, as i'm not keen on the formula or the lasting power of the Topshop blushes at all, but I suppose I just want to use it up and the Head Over Heels is a nice peachy colour so it does look pretty and I have barely worn any other blush this month so it must count as a monthly favourite. It's just a shame it doesn't work for me.

Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me

My lips have been very dry this month, maybe it is because I have run out of my staple Burt's Bees lipbalm and have been using an alternative this month which my lips clearly don't like as much. So i've been reaching for moisturising lip products this month, and I went for my favourite in that category: the Baby Lips in Cherry Me. This is almost gone! Can't believe it. I love this so much and will be sad when it's gone, it smells amazing, looks great and is very moisturising.

LUSH Santa's Lip Scrub

To combat the ultra dry lips that i've been getting, i've been using my Christmas themed lip scrub that I got from LUSH every single day and it's really helped my lips feel and look better. I wasn't too keen on the very sweet, lime (cola flavoured) lip balm, but i've grown to really enjoy it now. A real savour for me this month!

Maybelline Brocades Nail Polish 'Knitted Gold'

I remember when this was talked about quite a bit at the end of 2013/early 2014 and I didn't think much of it at the time, that was until I spotted it in Boots and got it as it is just so pretty! I wore this for most of February and it wore very well and I was rather impressed!

Random Favourites!

Three random favourites for you this month firstly styling my hair to a side plait, I barely ever used to do this and for some reason I started doing that this month and have been loving it ever since!

My other two are sport related! I love watching sport and the 6 Nations have been a highlight for me, i'm supporting Wales being a Welsh girl myself. Also been loving the Winter Olympics and congratulations to all of Team GB and our medal winners, it's been fun to watch!

January 2014 Favourites!

Starting off with a typical cliche here, but I can't believe January is already over! I would say Christmas only feels like yesterday, but i'd disagree with that completely, Christmas feels like an eternity ago! I don't normally feel like that in January, but I have this time round.
Anyway, onto the things i've been loving this month.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream - (review)

I bought this when this first came out when the whole BB Cream craze was going on a year or so ago. It's been in my make-up stash for a while now and i've almost finished it up, so I thought i'd try using it more this month and i've really enjoyed it. Previously I just kept it for around the summer time when I wanted a lighter base but thinking on that thought now is just silly. It does have a very light coverage but it gives a nice glowy look for these dull winter months.

Mac Creme Cup Lipstick - (review)

Again, another product i've almost finished, and also one of the first Mac lipsticks I ever purchased. It's a lovely shade of baby pink but I think it is a tad too pale for my complexion. A great creamy formula and lasts a good amount of time on the lips. And even though I think the colour doesn't completely suit me, nevertheless i'm determined to finish it and have thus used it a lot this month.

No7 Stay Perfect 'Glace' Lipstick (review)

In all honesty I completely forgot I had this lipstick, and when I found it again I thought i'd get some use of it and actually wear it. Great colour for this time of year aswell.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain 'Crush'

I finally got my hands on this lipstain near the end of 2013, and as we've only got a couple of months left of Winter I wanted to get my use out of it, as I only like to wear berry colours in the autumn and winter months. I just love these balm stains by Revlon, they last ages on the lips! And the minty smell is just divine. Thumbs up from me.

Chanel Mascara (review).

I got a sample of this after my neighbour gave it to me (she works for Chanel and sometimes gives us samples when we go and see her). It's actually a really nice mascara! Separates the lashes well and volumises them, I still would never pay £24 for a mascara though. But i've enjoyed using this very cute little sample this month.

Barry M 'Silver Lights' nail paint (Boots Limited Edition) - (review).

I wore this nail varnish at the very beginning of the month, it lasted ages on my nails. It was on there for about a week without chipping. Such a gorgeous holographic silver glitter! And actually the only silver related glitter I own and I won't be getting anymore, this does the job perfectly!

Avon - Little Red Dress Body Spray - (review).

I was given this for Christmas and if i'm honest I didn't think much of it. These kind of aerosole body sprays are never my favourite but I actually really like the scent and i've been using it instead of perfume this month.

Random Favourites: TV Show - Sherlock (Series 3)

I was so excited to see this show back after a two year absence! Really two years is such a long time, I really hope we don't have to wait another two years to see the next series. Even though there are only three episodes per series, they are 90 minutes long which is almost like a film, so I guess it's okay. We'd all love to see more but as the old saying goes it's quality rather than quantity. They really are incredible episodes and if you haven't checked out this show I really suggest that you do.

Music Favourite - December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night) by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons

I bet a lot of you, especially if there are any teenagers reading, will never have heard of this song. If i'm honest I don't think i'd heard of it either, that was until the second episode of Sherlock (do you sense a theme developing here haha). Since hearing it at the end of the episode it's been stuck in my head and it's been the go to song i've been listening to on my iTunes :) Such a very old school song, but I love songs like that!

What were your January favourites?
